Day the Earth Caught Fire This split CD is unique in that the Misfits covered a Balzac song ("Day the Earth Caught Fire") and Balzac covered a medley of 2 Misfits songs (“The Haunting" & "Don't Open Til Doomsday"). Like all Misfits singles bootlegs exist so buyers beware. Caroline Records attempted that year to release the material from the August 1980 sessions as 12 Hits from Hell, but the album was cancelled at the request of Danzig and Only before it could be released.
